No accounts, no tracking, no newsletter

This site has no sign-up, no login, no comments, no mailing list and no analytics script. It sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The pages are static files; reading them sends nothing about you to us beyond the ordinary web request that any server receives.

The Ask box

The “Ask about the Name” box and the “Ask Lexicon” button are provided to help you study. When you send a question, the text of your question and the page you were reading are sent to the assistant service so that it can answer. A session identifier is kept in your browser’s session storage so that a conversation can continue on the same page; it is discarded when the tab is closed. Do not include personal details in your questions. The assistant is not a person; it answers from the Bible and public-domain reference works, and its answers can be wrong.

Fonts and images

Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts and images from this site’s own image host; your browser makes those requests directly, as it would for any web page.
